Part of my Fifty Poetic Forms in Fifty Days Challenge. Today's form is the Kyrielle. This French form of poetry is relatively simple – four lines to each stanza, at least three stanzas, and the last line of each stanza contains a refrain (a repeating line). A key requirement is that each line must contain exactly eight syllables.  There are several rhyme schemes you can use. Traditionally, this was used to create prayers or hymns, but in modern usage can be used for any theme.
